On Saturday, March 7th, Reinette from South Africa, Gergana from Bulgaria, and I took a day trip up north to Mt Gilboa, the Jezreel Valley, Mt Tabor, Mt Carmel, and ended up at Caesarea just as it was getting dark. Ancient Caesarea has a lot of restaurants on the beach and on Motze Shabbat (end of the Sabbath or Saturday Night) the National Park is open. It was my first time to visit an Israeli National Park at night. I thought this photo of the walls of ancient Caesarea contained some terrific color.
Below is Caesarea at night. The birthplace of the gospel being extended to the gentiles. On the following day he (Peter) entered Caesarea. ... Opening his mouth, Peter said: "I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him. On Monday, March 2nd, Vern and I accompanied Karen to an IDF outpost on the Syrian Border to make a fleece jacket delivery. For a few minutes, we were the guests of honor and they called many of the soldiers together for a photo op.

As for those of you who may be left, I will also bring weakness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them, and even when no one is pursuing they will flee as though from the sword, and they will fall. Leviticus 26:36.
Just before the photos, IDF "brothers" laughing and joking with each other. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1.

A reminder of being on the border.
The long, isolated road back to the highway.
As we came down from the Golan Heights, the Sea of Galilee is always picturesque even on a cloudy day.
And in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times? Matthew 16:3.
As He was going along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. Mark 1:16.

On the way back to Jerusalem, we stopped to photograph this camel family.
"Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a grain offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem," says the LORD, "just as the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD.
